Parish Update: Church Repairs Underway

Dear Parishioners,

As many of you may have heard, Storm Eowyn caused damage to St Colmcille’s Church last week when a section of the bell tower fell, striking the roof and causing some plaster to come loose inside. While this was an unfortunate event, we are grateful that no one was injured and that repairs have already begun.

This has been a challenging time for our church, following recent issues with the heating and flooring, but I want to assure you that restoration work is underway. We have had specialist restorers assess the damage, and most of the costs will be covered by insurance.

I would like to sincerely thank the wonderful volunteers who helped clean up the debris, and to all of you for your patience and support during this time. Your prayers and generosity continue to sustain our parish.

We will keep you updated as work progresses, and I look forward to welcoming everyone back into a fully restored church very soon.

With every blessing,

Fr Paddy Rushe (Administrator).
