Dear Parents/Guardians, as the preparation for First Holy Communion and Confirmation continues this year, l’d like to invite you to a short pre-sacramental meeting – not as a formal beginning, but as a moment for the parish to connect with you during this important journey.
Our schools do wonderful work with the children, and we value that deeply. But we also know that home is the first place where faith is caught, where children see prayer, kindness, and belief lived out.
As a parish, we want to support you in that, gently and practically. We understand that not every family has a regular pattern of Sunday Mass these days and that life is busy; this gathering isn’t about pressure, but about walking with you and your children in a more intentional way. Your presence genuinely matters, and I’d be grateful if you could make time to join us.
To make it easier, there are two options for each sacrament, and you may come to whichever suits your family best:
Please note that talks are for parents/guardians only.

One Further Thing!
You may be aware that the Department of Education is running a survey about models of school. The Archbishop recently spoke about this saying that he encourages all eligible parents to take part in the upcoming Primary School Survey 2025. He emphasises that if you value a faith-based, Catholic-ethos school for your child – one that nurtures dignity, community, sacramental life and a holistic formation – then your voice matters, and must be recorded.
Without sufficient participation from families who cherish that ethos, the future shape of school provision – including patronage, religious character and ethos – may shift without your input.
In short: if the ethos of a Catholic school matters to you and your children, participate in the survey, so your preferences are visible and counted in planning.
Here is a link to the survey.
